Description

Dr. Bob Goldstein Nature’s Protection™ Flea & Tick Collar has carefully selected the 3 best natural ingredients, making these topical products effective and protective powerhouses. The special combination of Virginia Cedar, Peppermint & Almond Oil works on repelling both fleas and ticks, and is safe, if used as directed for animals, humans and the environment.

Did you know that chemical flea and tick collars contain pesticides that can be harmful to your dog or cat and family?  Our herbal collars are the natural alternative to these collars that contain harsh chemicals.  Each collar is infused with a natural blend of aromatic herbs and essential oils with a fresh, minty fragrance.

Virginia Cedar Oil is derived from conifer trees (trees that bear cones and needle-like leaves) of the cypress families. It is known to be repellent to fleas, ticks and mosquitoes, but completely non-toxic to animals and people. It is also known for its antiseptic, anti-fungal and antibacterial properties. It is also beneficial for the skin and coat.

Peppermint Oil is medicinal, stress relieving, insect repelling and has a natural minty scent.

Almond Oil is considered a valuable gift of nature, with its slightly nutty aroma that helps repel and protect from unwanted insects.

Worry free – No Phthalates, DEET, Chemicals Insecticides, no synthetic chemicals and is safe if used as directed for people, cats, dogs and the environment. Waterproof, pleasant scent, 1 collar per box (last up to 3 months)

Made in France.

Active Ingredients:

  • Cedarwood oil 4.3%
  • Peppermint oil 4.3%
  • Inert Ingredients 91.4%
  • Almond oil, nylon, zinc stearate.
  • Total ingredients: 100%

Directions on how to use the collar:

Take the collar out of the bag and unwind.  Then pull on the small circular tab of plastic until that piece is completely removed from the collar itself and discard.

A correct fitting will enable two fingers to be comfortably inserted between the collar and the neck of your dog or cat.  Any excess length of the collar beyond the buckle should be cut off and disposed of.

The collars are waterproof and do not need to be removed before entering the water.  For maximum effectiveness, replace every 3 months.  Please do not use this collar with a leash or to hold your dog.

Our collars are to be used in conjunction with our Internal Daily Powders and Herbal Drops.

Non-Toxic
Our collars were rigorously tested by REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) the European Union’s version of the EPA. Their conclusion is that allergic risk is very low due to the slow release of the active ingredients.
CAUSE NO HARM: No animals were used in the testing of this product!

I bought these collars for my 3 Shar pei and they seem to be keeping those critters away. I had always used Frontline and Advantage but I never felt comfortable with all the chemicals, I prefer using these natural and safe collars. Thank you for offering such great products for our “kids”

I have used the internal powder for my dogs for several years, but used in conjunction with a commercial flea/tick topical application. I have been so happy with the internal powder that when the collars came out decided to completely move away from commercial type products. My dogs take the power, the drops and wear the collars and they have been great. I would have given a perfect rating, but we have had issue with the collars not staying clasped, so I am having to check them daily.

So far so great!! According to a May 2018 CDC report, we live in the 2nd worst tick area in the country… it is impossible not to find one or two with each walk. We have tried EVERYTHING, natural and chemical — from perimeter sprays to drops to collars to vaccines to shirts to pills to powders to shampoos. We also only walk our dogs in short mowed grass and we are vigilant in checking them. We have purchased/used every product recommended and/or sold by vets. After one of our beloved dogs suffered totally debilitating seizures and had to be put to sleep soon after trying a new spot-on product only available through vets, we said ENOUGH. We are trying the Earth Animal collar on 2 of our 4 dogs because they walk off leash and one, in particular, is like Belgian Chocolate to ticks and has already had Lyme disease as a result. Since using this collar (April 2018) we have only found one tick. We realize it is a very short trial, but its nearly impossible to find such amazing results in the height of what is being called the worst tick season ever… We have not used the internal powder, but will certainly add it to the regimen for extra added protection. We are more than happy to update our review as more time passes and there is more to report. Important to note, the smell of the collar, when first put on, is very strong, especially since I do not like the smell of mint. However, the dogs don’t mind it at all and I have gotten used to it. In fact, the scent now gives me assurance that my dogs are safe, so I have come to welcome it. Wonder if I can make a bracelet to wear during deep wood hikes that would protect me as well? BTW – our dogs absolutely LOVE the no-hide dog chews!!

Thank you for the kind words Ellie! Yes, the internal powder is the core of our product line for Flea & Ticks! We’ve been marketing it for over 40 years and it’s outstanding and truly should be the starting point for prevention. The collars will add an additional level of protection for your pet. The spell is powerful at the start…you can open it and leave it on a counter-top for a day+ to let the smell become “less intense” yet, it’s an appealing scent to most humans and disliked by most pests. Please consider our Nature’s Protection SPRAY for both pets and humans – again, a great smell and works very well. All available on our website.
